Parole Rules & Regulations

The key to successfully completing your term of parole is knowing what you can and cannot do while under supervision. Parole rules and regulations are set by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, and enforced by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. This also covers what parole officers can and cannot do while you are under their supervision and how they must assist you while reintegrating into society. The entire set of rules and regulations is about 800 pages long.

Every rule and regulation can be found on TDCJ’s website, and each one has its own page. The Texas Parole Authority has conveniently compiled all of these rules and regulations into one e-book, or, if your loved one prefers print or is about to be released, a print version is also available. This book is kept up to date as parole rules and regulations can change several times throughout the year.
